Oregon part 1 - Panoramas

One of my main goals for this Oregon trip was to experiment with long exposures in the dynamic landscapes of Oregon's coast and interior waterfalls. Here, in my first Oregon post, I've shared some of my favorite images of the trip in panoramic format.

Opal Creek Wilderness

The national forest in Oregon provides some of the best hiking and green views in the country. The moisture was a huge bonus coming from the high altitude desert of Colorado.

Columbia River Gorge

The waterfalls of the Columbia River Gorge were some of the most heavily featured photographs on Flickr when I first got into photography around 2006/7. I was happy to finally see these myself. While Multnomah Falls (not pictured below) is the largest and most famous, I found the quiet hikes to the more seculded falls to be the most enjoyable.

Oregon Coast

A visit to the Portland area seemed incomplete without driving to the coast. I knew nothing about the Oregon coast, but was very satisfied with the number of parks and scenic hikes available while driving south from Cannon Beach, especially Thor's Well.
